Adventure/Puzzle Games

I was wondering if anyone has played any good adventure/puzzle games. Some popular ones are Myst/Riven/Myst III/Uru

I'm really into Lightbringer now, an older but really interesting game. Schizm is one very popular Myst-like adventure/puzzler.

Graphical adventures? My favorites:

The Longest Journey
The Curse of Monkey Island
Sam and Max Hit the Road

For sheer looks, Grim Fandango is hard to beat.

I agree with Fable - those are the best ones - Grim Fandango was a delight for its sheer weirdness and strange humor.

I tried out a demo of Siberia, and liked what I saw. Anyone have an opinion on it?

I didn't like Syberia - I can't presicely point to why, but I felt the puzzles where more there for the sake of the puzzles, and not to advance the story.
The story didn't appeal to me much either, which didn't help.

But it is an older game, should you should be able to get it for rather cheap now

As for the Adventure game I remember playing most (Other then Lessiure Suit Larry 1 ) is "Riddle of Master Lu". That one I liked greatly.

Also in my old days played games like Heart Of China. A nice romantic adventure game consisting of still pictures iirc with some action sequences - such as driving a tank or fencing on top of a moving train

I got quite into the LBA games. The puzzles were sometimes very complicated, and the comical style and characters were endearing. Its a very relaxing yet interesting puzzle game to play.

Then again, I may just be odd.

Might want to avoid Uru Live. Ubi Soft and Cyan Worlds continued to sell it, waited a bit, and a relatively short period of time, didn't feel they had the subscribers, and shut it down--so if you *have* bought it already, too bad: you spent $50 for nothing. Copies are still floating around out there waiting for unsuspecting buyers, too.

And if you want to read some of the most earnest bull ever penned, check out Cyan Worlds' comments up at their site about what they've done.
