I plan to buy Kohan: Immortal Sovereigns.

At first, I looked for the Special Edition only, but I found out that some of the SE content (like the new heroes and some AI improvement) was offered in a patch for the owners of the original game.

Does any of you know if the Special Edition adds something to the single-player campaign that I won't be able to get from the regular edition and the patches?

If not, since I don't intend to play multiplayer and since the Special Edition is harder to find, I will start looking for the regular edition.

Thanks in advance.

According to Wikipedia,

Quote:
The game was ported to Linux by Loki Software, shipping on August 24, 2001. A stand-alone expansion pack, Kohan: Ahriman's Gift, was released on November 6, 2001. A special edition was published in May 2002, featuring new heroes, maps and AI options, but not the expansion pack. A Kohan Mod Tool was released on June 17, 2002.
Again, it's Wikipedia, so take it with a shipload of salt. Still, it's a a place to start.

Thanks for the info, Fable, but I already looked at Wikipedia - and even at the TimeGate Studios forums. (I also asked the question there by the way.)

This does not answer my question thought. (And I already own the expansion, so that's not the problem.)

What I'd like to know is if the added maps and heroes of the Special Edition were made only for multiplayer games (that I won't play) and/or if they were all included in the latest patches.

In other words, will I miss something in the single-player campaign if I buy the Regular Edition (which is easier to find than the Special Edition)?
