The reavers can be awkward sometimes - if the ritual is interupted before you can finish reading the scroll (using the githzerei cleric) then you have to start again. I usually set all my characters to attack the reaver then take control of the cleric and manually get her to use the scroll. I stay controlling her until the scroll is read out loud and the ritual competed before taking over control of my main character again to finish off killing the reaver - usually he is already at nearly dead or badly injured by the time the ritual is completed and is easy to finish off. They have a lot of hp though so they do take some damage before dying. If they keep healing themselves then the ritual was not completed fully, so try activating the true name scroll again while targetting the reaver.
