Question Weapon crafting, enhancement, enchantment, etc.

Sorry if this has been answered already, but I could not find a decent answer anywhere (including a bunch of other NWN2 forum sites).

1)a. I know that in NWN HotU, in Act III when you reach (name forgotten) that can magically enchant weapons (add +1 to enchantment, +1d6 to Fire/Cold/Electric/etc damage), you cannot add elemental damage to an already elementally enchanted weapon (I had Divine Fury [katana], +3 Enchantment, 1d6 Electrical Damage, Stun on hit and could not add electrical damage, only base enchantment). Can you have more that one type of elemental damage on a weapon (i.e. 1d6 Fire Damage & 1d6 Cold Damage & ...) in NWN2 (I have the book of all elements, can add all types of elemental damage)?
1)b. If you can, is it better to start fresh, or a weapon that already has some enchantment (again, I have Divine Fury)?
1)c. Can you have more that one alignment bonus on a weapon (i.e. 2d6 vs Good & 2d6 vs Evil, 2d6 vs Chaotic & 2d6 vs Good, etc.)?

2) Is the max base enchantment still +10?

3) Is there one type of Ingot that is better for making weapons, or do they just add special properties according to the metal (if so, any idea what the special bonuses are)?

4) Anyone know how to add "special" properties to weapons (i.e. Haste, On Hit: Stun/Daze/-Str/etc.)? Not a biggie, just curious.

Thanks for re-answering (if you found/posted an answer to any of the above). I'm mostly lost on Crafting. I never used it in NWN (I have NWN Diamond [NWN, SotU, HotU, KM, plus all the other "mini-campaigns"]) and beat them all on only the equipment I found (I also raid everything possible).

Check out Video Game Cheats - Video Game Reviews - Video Game Codes - Video Game Web Site - GameFAQs for a detailed page on everything crafting.

Crafted items can only have 3 enchantments. Therefore, its usually best to start with a clean slate.
You can have multiple elements, vs alignments, withing the limit of 3 enhancements.
You can only put up to +5 enhancement on a weapon.
Not to many specials (vampiric regeneration is one). Check gamefaqs for a full list.

What materials are good for is a good question. They are most useful for passing damage resistance. For example, Stoneskin gives 10/adamantine damage resistance, so adamantine weapons will pass this.

I would also like to know if anyone has a definitive list on what creatures have what resistances passed by what material??

Until we have a comprehensive list I'll say what I sort of remember.

Werewolfes - silver
Vampires - silver
Warlock (spell) - silver

Stoneskin - adamantine
Iron Golem - adamantine

Warlock (natural) - cold iron
Fey ?? - cold iron

Some outsiders (sucumbi? mefits? imps?) - cold iron, or darksteel
Devils and Demons - one is silver the other is cold iron

So do the base enchantment, elemental, vs and specials (Vampiric regen, etc) ALL count for the 3 enchantments? Or are the 3 enchantments just max base, elemental and vs, and specials aren't part of the 3?

Everything counts as an enhancement. Even some material properties such as adamantine 2 magic dammage count as an enchancement. Some material properties don't like Mitril weight reduction, but I don't know which count and don't count.

Thanks. If I ever get a character that can even craft items (I finally realized that none of my characters have either the Craft Magic Arms & Armor or Craft Wonderous Item feats), I might try to play with the crafting and see what happens.
