Warlock spells, huh? (slight spoiler, perhaps)

Well, Ammon is in my party, and I seem to be unable to cast any spells besides his eldritch repetoire. All the others, I just get there are no more uses or preparations left for this spell.

Bug or total noob question?

Either way, answer would be much appreciated.

Btw, I do not have any patches as I cannot use 1.03, and am unable to patch it to 1.02 as there seems to be no mirror for 1.01 or a full 1.02 patch anywhere. If it's a bug it may have been fixed in one of these.

The most recent official patch is 1.04 and was released last week. If you are having problems with the updates I would suggest re-installing the game and updating using the "update" function. The games automatic update function should take your unpatched install and update it directly to 1.04 all at once. Playing an unpatched game is going to be a bit frustrating as many bugs have been squashed and, maybe more importantly, the updates have greatly increased game playability, speed, and the user interface. You are bound to continually run into issues with gameplay and I would advise you to get the update situation sorted out first before get further into the game and really start banging your head against a wall.

By the way - I never bothered to use any of Ammon's spells so I can't help you there

No the point is that my game wont even start as of patch 1.03. Patch 1.04 didnt make any difference either. Reinstalled it half a dozen times, no go.

I could theoretically play with patch 1.02, however the Update function automatically updates from current version to last version, not patch by patch. Therefore I would need mirrors, however there seems to be no mirror anywhere for patch 1.01, or a full 1.02.

I'm sorry if this is off topic - but I think you have bigger problems here. The patch update to 1.04 should work...period. If it doesn't your game install is messed up...period. I see in another thread that you have already re-installed the game several times. That leads me to believe that the game has not been completely unistalled and you should seek further tech support. Often, game unistalls do not completely erase all game data and registry entries in windows and therefore after you re-install you still have the same problems.

My suggestion would be to post this isse on the games tech support forums - you should probably run a search as well as I imagine you are not the only one with this problem. Follow this link for the user self help support forum and this link for the official Atari support page.

Again - I am not trying to give you a hard time - but if I was having this problem that is what I would do. The answer is to fix the problem with the game not playing with 1.04. It does not make any sense to "settle" for your current situation - this is a software issue and it can be fixed.
