litel help.

There are three keys to get, total. The first key (Vania's Key, or something like that) gets you to the second floor. Then you get a key from the fireplace (as the above poster says) and a key from the collector. That and the code get you into the vault.

Okay ... downstairs in the servants room is an empty vase you can fill with water to put out the fire. The code is 513.

Note, also, that you should use your main character - not Neeshka - to walk into the vault. Otherwise the triggered cutscene might not play.

Railroading

This particular quest made me shake my head. Playing a pally in the watch, I obviously didn't want to rob this guy. However, since I always had Neeshka in the party I wanted to get Ledlon off her back. I was giving too much credit to the story devo when I assumed that there would be a lawful way out (warn the collector, apprehend Ledlon, have the collector perform some blatantly illegal or evil act). Either way, once I'd begun the search, there were no repercussions for my actions. Apparently looting a citizen of Neverwinter is no biggie. The only time I caught any "flak" was when I got the water bottle and bumped into a servant who was scared of me. I took the nice option ("we're not here to hurt you," or some such) and I recieved the message "you're alignment has shifted (0) points towards chaotic." Heck, I even made sure to leave everything we found just so that I could justify that my LG paladin wasn't actually robbing this dude, even after I'd been forced to kill all his guards.

I am having trouble with this. I figured that I need the vase of water, and the empty bottle, but cannot figure out how to put one into the other. The servents won't speak to me any more! Help!

IIRC, in the kitchen you can find an empty bottle and a sink, and if you click on the sink after picking up the bottle, then you can fill up the bottle. I don't remember a vase.

The way I did it was to pick up the empty bottle from the sink, then click on the vase so its "inventory" opens. Then open your inventory and drag the empty bottle into the vase's inventory and it should automatically turn into a bottle of water.
