Safiya Spell Bug (MOTB)?

Hey, i know there has been some discussion of this but as far as i know no fix has been introduced.
I'm still in act one, just before leaving to face the spirit army. However suddenly Safiya is only able to cast up to level 6 spells where before she had a full spellbook to level 9. The spells are still present in her spell book but don't appear in her quickcast bar. She also does not use the spells of her own accord during combat.
I have tried patching the game and restarting it but the bug seems fixed.
Any ideas on getting this resolved?

Well, a couple of ideas...

1. Did you memorize maximized (or whatnot) versions of spells, so that they're in her quickcast bar, but not on the first page you see?

2. Did you do something to reduce her intelligence so that she can no longer cast high level spells?

As for Safiya not casting spells on her own accord, maybe that has something to do with the AI. Did you set her in puppet mode and maybe forgot to turn it off? Try checking her AI page, that might help some.

Her intelligence did drop somehow, but it's completely unrelated to her equipment. I.e in an earlier save of the game with a different PC she has 20+5 Int and in this save with my current PC she has 19+4. To see if this was the problem i boosted it with gear up to 25+7 and still it makes no difference.
Taking away all gear, (just in case it might be affecting her) makes no difference she still cannot cast spells past level 6. Very strange.
