Problem with Commander Tann (possible spoiler)

I have found Commander Tann, rescued his men, dealt with Vallis (fought him and his men) and then proceeded to the Fort. Tann was part of my party until I got to the Fort. Now he is standing near the entrance to the gate (on the inside of the Fort) and all he says is 'Thank you for finding my men. Let's get back to the Fort. I need to warn my men about this place.' He's in the fort but won't acknowledge it. I've gone on and enptied the Bandits Camp in the meantime, but other soldiers in the fort don't acknowledge that he's back. Has anyone else had this problem? Did I screw up a delicate 'you-must-do-this-in-a-specific-order' type of thing? Thanks for whatever help you can give. I don't know if I should stick around at the Fort and try to resolve it, or move on.

Firstly welcome to the forums

Please do not try to avoid the language filter by using symbols instead of the word. This is clearly stated in Rule 3 of the forum rules, which you agreed to when you signed up to the site:

#3 - Profanity and/or sexually explicit posts are unacceptable. Purposely posting profanity in a way as to avoid our filter will not be tolerated. In extreme cases, we may even file complaints with your ISP or hosting company.

Thanks.

I'm sorry. Won't happen again.

Sorry about that. I meant no offense.

Just a thought that occurred to me....Spoilers:

Did you have to confront Vallis and his goons on the way back to the fort with Commander Tann in your party? If not, then you may have missed a triggering event through some odd bug.

He's giving out spoiler information. Just as it says in the sticky at the top of this forum's page (which I'm sure you read), he's using (spoiler) info (/spoiler), where brackets substitute for parens. To read, highlight.
