I've almost finished the build.. it's taken awhile. But it may be useful beyond simply the build itself.

Here it is:

A question about that Sorcerer build: Why Palemaster and it's half-casting?
I am surprised to learn that Shield gives a deflection bonus (instead of a shield bonus) and that Improved Mage Armour stacks with regular armour. Thanks for clearing this up.

Sorcerers "run-out" at level 20.

They don't receive new spells per day to cast, new spells, or new spell levels (though a Wizard doesn't receive the later 2 past 20th level either). They DO receive levels for spell power/duration calculations AND class levels for the purpose of Spell Penetration, bonus feats, and access to Sorcerer epic feats.

On the other hand while a Palemaster receives no new spells per day on their even levels, nor spell level progression - but it does get the add-on class levels for spell penetration and access to Sorcerer epic feats.

Basically the only thing it's missing past level 20 are the bonus feats at epic levels, AND you wouldn't get them anyway because of the expenditure on a full 10 levels of ASoC.

Additionally, it's chosen early on for access to the +2 AC (..with absolutely no penalty for that first level).

At those epic levels all the "perks" of the Palemaster class are essentially *free*.

Still, only half-casting, that means only half increase in caster level. In PnP, I'd make fun of that. But it's NWN, and you know more about that than I do.

Actually, I'll need to check on the spell power/duration and spell resistance thing of the non-spell levels of the Palemaster. It may need Practiced Spellcaster Sorcerer for this.

It does need Practiced Spellcaster Sorcerer for those even levels of Palemaster. More for Spell Penetration than damage enhancement.

Not only that, it had me testing spell power.

The wikia's description is wrong for Isaac's Greater Missile Storm. (..so is Gambanshee's for the radius.)

The in-game description is closer to it (though wrong on the radius) - it's the same as Gamebanshee's description.

Against a single target it never goes beyond 10 missiles. (nor is it "gargantuan" in radius, it's now 20 feet.)

Against multiple targets it starts to increase the number of missiles and scales in number with caster level (..though no where close to 1-to-1, more like 5-to-1 for the additional missiles).

I think its been "cut" a bit over the various patches because it was a little too powerful before.

Greater Fireburst on the other hand is now 30' in radius, unlike the descriptions on Gamebanshee and the wikia. In combination with stealth or invisiblility it's pretty freak'n powerful now. You can basically walk right up to a large group of opponents (without Improved Evasion), and perform your own version of a suicide bomber (but without the suicide part).

I screwed that up as well.

It is a *shield* bonus.

Improved Mage Armor *does* stack on armor, but not enhanced armor.

Same thing for Shield, it stacks on a shield, but not on an enhanced shield.

So basicly, they count as Shield Enhancement and Armour Enhancement bonuses?

Exactly.

If Khelgar is wearing a +2 Full Plate, Improved Mage Armor (at +6) will only provide an improvement of +4 to the +2 Full Plate. Same idea for the Shield (..though you can't cast Shield on another even from wands).

It is nice to know though that shield isn't a deflection bonus, because it basically allows you to get additional AC from Rings or Cloaks as well.

Sorcerer/Palemaster:
Improved Mage Armor +6
Shield +4
Spiderskin or ShadowShield (natural armor) +5
Ring of Protection (deflection) +5
Boots of Sun Soul (dodge) +5
Belt of Agility (+8) (Dexterity) +4
Palemaster full AC bonus +6

That's +35 AC.. then use Bigby's Interposing to drop your opponents attack by -10.
