| | | noob question I havent start playing the game yet. I am looking through the prestige classes and the Pale Master looks cool. One of the requirements is:
· Spellcasting: Ability to cast 3rd level arcane spells.
At gamespot.com it says: Most of the spells listed below are arcane spells, which means that you'll need to have a sorcerer or wizard in your party to cast them. Some of them can be cast by divine spellcasters, as well, so bringing along a priest or druid may be helpful. Some are castable by any class. Most well-balanced parties, though, will have at least one divine and one arcane spellcaster in them, so it shouldn't be too difficult to cover all the bases.
So... I must start as a Sorcerer or a Wizard to become a "Pale Master"?
cheers

| | | Or perhaps a warlock; not sure. What does your manual state?

| | No. It's confusing, I know, but arcane is meant to refer only to mage style spells, not clerics, rangers and such, who get prayers...which are spells. Bear in mind, you need a certain number of levels as a Sorc (let's say) to become a Pale Master, so you could still have 5 levels as a cleric and X number for Sorc, and qualify.

| | | If you read the class descriptions in the manual, it tells you what kind of spells they cast.

| | | Bard, Wizard or Sorcerer are the only classes you can take to get that prestige class. Wizard gets access to the Pale Master prerequisites first, then Sorc, then Bard.
