Khelgar Con and Dex decreased?

Just cleared the graveyard in the Fort Locke quest, and upon return to the fort, Khelghar's Con and Dex are decreased . . . ? He was diseased in the crypts, but I gave him an antidote. He doesn't seem to be under any effects anymore, and I rested twice, and he's still decreased. Am I missing something?

Have you tried using a restoration spell on him?

As you progress the game, you should gain companions that have the restoration skill. SPOILER (highlight to read) In fact, right after you leave Fort Locke for Highcliff, you will gain a druid with the lesser restoration spell. And if i remember correctly, there is also a priest in the fort that gives you a quest. Once you have completed it, i think he will offer to cast heal/restore spells on your party for free as a reward.

Talk to the healer in Forte Locke and he'll heal you fully, include restore decreased abilities.
