Getting more peoples (Spolier)

Have gotten myself to chapter 2 and started working on the Keep. iv gotten Torio to the keep to help as a informant, and she has told me to find Guyven, a scout with i have meet 3 times already. First time outside bonegnashers lair, secound time in the mountens outside the giths last stronghold(where you save Shandra) and the third time inte ember after it was destroyed. but Torio places Guyven in Duskwood or Old owl well, but i have searched thru both duskwood and old owl well. please can someone help me find him.

He is in the bedroom, strait accross from the door to the basment in the Keep.

From the entrance to the Keep, looking at Torio, take the door on the left and then the first door on the left.

He's not there in my game. I wonder if he has an alignment check or anything like that ...

Well you have to meet him 3 times up to the point of getting the Keep.

Spoiler

Once where you find Khelgar's clan fighting Bugbears.
Once on the way to rescue Shandra it's the map with Fire Wall traps.
Last in Ember after the massacure.

Did all those happen for you?

On my first run through the game, I'd met Guyven three times and he didn't spawn for me in the Keep as well. Things to look out for:

- meet him three times ( as already mentioned above )
- possibly tell him "You'll always have a place by my fire" the last time you meet him in Ember, though the end result of the conversation is the same I think
- when you get your keep, building all interior rooms. Guyven spawns inside a small room in the Keep.

If he doesn't spawn, and if you met him three times before, here's how you spawn him:

( That's how it works for me, at any rate... I could never get the ~ key to work in my game )

- right-click on your character, hit Enter, the DebugMode window should open
- type in: ##DebugMode 1
- hit enter
- type in: ##rs ga_global_int("01_Join_Guyven","1")
- hit enter
- type in: ##DebugMode 0
- hit enter
- exit Keep, then re-enter Keep. Take the first door left, then the first door left again. Guyven should be standing in the middle of the room.

Apparently, this is a very common bug. Lots and lots of people in the Bioware forums have posted it, and the only solution is the console command Ningen has spelled out.

With me it says unknown command rs

First run through my game i found and talked to him 3 times before building my keep (last time in Ember i told him he was always welcome at my fire), but he never showed up...
Next two runs i waited to talk to him in Ember until AFTER i got my stronghold, and both times he DID show up...

Are you patched to 1.03?

I don't think you are spose to type the # signs, I have never used them though I haven't tried this command.

I'm not that dense :P I did it without the # signs but it gave an error saying it didn't know the rs command

There might be a space after the , (i had the same problem with another console command)..

And yes, i am patched to 1.03, and waiting till after i get my keep seems to work for me...

Some things in this game are just a little bit buggy...
Like the construct, first run i gave the items to Grobnar one at a time as soon as i found them, and he never actually activated it, second run something went wrong and the damn thing vanished from my basement alltogether, third run i waited till i had all three items, gave them in one go, and Grobnar activated him just fine (and he rocks, especially after upgrading him with my Craft skills and some help from Sand)...

Best thing is he does not whine if i do something evil!

That's the code that worked for me, so unfortunately I can't tell you any other way to do it. I'm working from a European keyboard, also, and things like the ~ key never worked for me when it came to bringing up the console window, or typing *any* cheat/spawn code without the ## to prefix them. Sorry. :/

I tried it too, didn't work for me either. I think I have the UK version
