Crafting and found items

Are any of the goodies you find at the conclusion of normal battles--emeralds, other stones, etc--useful in crafting formulas in SoZ?

I'm not sure about saphires, emeralds etc. as still only in Chapter 1 of SoZ, but I know adventurines can be used to make an amulet that increase constitution by 2, and some other recipes use things like fluorospars.

Sounds like at least the lesser stones are useful, then. Thanks. I wonder if that holds true for the more expensive ones, or if they are good only for increasing your cash?

Note that none of it is really a spoiler because you must have the recipes in order to do the crafting. (..except for the *location* of the recipes.)
