Collectors quest bugged? **SPOILER**

I'm trying to do the collectors quest. I've used the dexterity check to get the key from the woman and use her as a hostage, and i've obtained the collectors key, and the combination.

However, when i click on the door it only gives me a choice to use the collectors key, and enter the combination, with no mention of using the second key at all. Is there something i'm missing. I've tried switching inventory spots, giving the key to others, dropping it and picking it back up, but to no avail.

Also, what does the fireplace have to do with the situation.

Help please!

P.S. if this quest was fixed with a patch, i'm unable to do that just yet (running 1.0 still).....my CD unfortunately was damaged so i'm living off of No-CD cracks at the moment.. :\ It's rough because now i can't install on my laptop like i had hoped.

It doesn't give you the option until you have the key in your inventory.

I didn't even realize that the key the woman gave me was not the one i needed. :P

You know that you can send in your CD/DVD to get a new one....

If the damage is just a scratch, you might be able to take your disc to a video rental store and see if they can clean it for you (no doubt for a small fee).

Ahhh, I think the fireplace is the solution to your problem. But it IS kinda hot, so you may need to quench it first...
