Cant decide on class to play

All right...basically I can't decide between 2 builds....

And I was wondering what you all would think would be more fun...

Build #1: Favored Soul 26/Cleric2/Paladin2 Built basically for buffing, healing and melee

or

Build #2: Ranger 27/Rogue 3 Dex based 2 handed, using rapiers with some Open Lock, Search and Disable Device.

Just looking to see what you all think would be the most fun in the OC and MoTB.

There are advantages and disadvantages to both. The FS build (out of curiosity what's the rationale in 2 levels of cleric? One would get you domains) is going to give you 9th level spell casting, which will offer you some versatility in combat. In particular, it will give you buffs galore (which is a fairly tedious process...). The Rogue/Ranger build will give you a higher melee damage output and the ability to do all the roguish things. Favored enemies, if chosen correctly, will give you a fairly neat boost, as well in both campaigns. So, if you find casting buff and healing spells fun, go Favored Soul. If you prefer fairly high melee damage with roguish utility, then go Ranger/Rogue. I think I prefer the latter option, mainly because I find buffing to be a bit tedious.
