Talking Backgrounds (might have spoilers in the near future)

I hereby create this Thread to justify my curiosity and to ask a question many would have or will have after reading this.

What are the real plot line advantages of chosing one of the background feats? Which speaial quest we get given for our chosen backgrounds, what small but significant details in our characters story and dialogues by picking a given background and own they influence our background?

But must Important!

What The Heck Will I get if I chose Farmer? will I get a quest in the lines of " Our people are starving only you can saves them by sowing the Magical Potatos of Ol' MacDribllyNoncense which he left behind in his old boots."

I think there's only one place where your background will make any difference -- at West Harbor. Depending on your background, the townspeople will give you slightly different things before you leave for Neverwinter.

LOL

No, and sw may be right, but in playing through most of the game with 4 different chars I haven't noticed much in the way of how your background affects your game.

So, don't worry about it affecting your game and take one for RP or if it will help your build.

Right Spoiler time

Well I just wanted to know because I know it's possible to have a special "quest" because of background, this case is the devout background, to cut to the point a friend of mine played his first time with a dwarven cleric and he chose has is background devout, and after he finish the game I asked the same questions I post here, and he told me the same thing, but he also said because he was so devouted in his way one of the others clerics said to him, Bla bla, fellow companion, because you are so bla and mutering of clerical aspects, Go West and when you see a shinny Light goesth to a Cave and in there you will find a Powerfull Weapon!" and then he found the Dragon, sley it and he rejoice because the booty was plentyfull and no one was very roasted alive, well no one Important that is.

I know this part must happen to all the characters but each willl have a different line or in other word quest type.... well here come the question again...

What will the farmer get?

"Well you planted some very nice turnips, so I will tell you a secret, when you travel west you will find an unusual cave in which at it doors you will find the most powerfull stench of a kind of manure you never smell before, but like your an experience farmer that knows his fertilizers, so to say, will find potencial in that stech when most would flee in horror when they eyebrows melted with the horrid steech! With it! Image the power You could have! You could win any harvest festivel with your Giant Size Turnips! Hmm hihii, ahhah, TURNIPS!"

"Do tell good gnome, if I do this and sow some of these giant size turnips you will leave me alone and stop trying to milk my familiar! There is no such thing was farie milk!"

The gnome droolls and mutters turnips a lot.

"I will take that as a yes! *sigh* My father warn me that this would happen :
"Son! Remember Turnips and Gnomes are a very dangerous things to have close to each others, Evil and Wierd things could happen." and he points to the six head family cow. "Margery was a very nice Chicken. Mind, her milk is rich and keeps the kobolts at bay, although blue goblins tend to leave sacrificial offerings and the occasional tiefling come here and hugs her and shouts "MOMMY!" and so on so on..."

Sorry, but you're mistaken. Your friend found a quest that all clerics can receive. It doesn't have anything to do with the devout background.
