Automatic spell casting(? - need to turn if off)

Hi,
main character=Wizard - need to turn off automatic spell casting

I'm new to NWN2, but not to the previous titles in this series. I get the impression that my main character, a wizard, is casting spells automatically. For example, a combat situation commences and as soon as he is hit, he starts casting lots of defensive spells and then starts to use up all of the attacking spells.

How do I stop this happening? It's quite annoying as I want to be able to control his casting rather than let the AI do it for me.

Go to the character screen (press C while playing the game) then to the behaviour tab. Click spellcasting to off, and if you want full control even when another character is selected, also turn puppet mode on (puppet mode turns off AI for that character when in combat).
