10+ Blackguard levels

I've been wondering what happens if you take the Blackguard beyond its 10th level cap. If you take a Pally and level it up to 19, switching to Blackguard should mean you can get 20 Blackguard levels. Or more with MotB. But what I'm mostly curious about are the spells. The Gamebanshee class guide tells me you only get bull's strength, inflict serious wounds, contagion and inflict critical wounds. But there are actually quite a few more spells.

Copied from d20srd.org:
Quote:
1st Level: cause fear, corrupt weapon, cure light wounds, doom, inflict light wounds, magic weapon, summon monster I*.
2nd Level: bull’s strength, cure moderate wounds, darkness, death knell, eagle’s splendor, inflict moderate wounds, shatter, summon monster II*.
3rd Level: contagion, cure serious wounds, deeper darkness, inflict serious wounds, protection from energy, summon monster III*.
4th Level: cure critical wounds, freedom of movement, inflict critical wounds, poison, summon monster IV*.
That looks a lot more counterpart to the Paladin's spell list. If you actually take it beyond level 10, will the spell list be increased also?

I'm confused. In NWN2 if you have 19 levels of paladin and you take 1 blackguard level you won't become a 20 blackguard. You'll be a 19 paladin 1 blackguard. In the original D&D rules you'd become a level 10 blackguard if I recall correctly.

Anyway, in NWN2 the blackguard doens't get a spell list like divine casters, he gets a number a spell like abilities. They simply copped out on this.

Ah, I see. I knew it had to add up somehow, it just didn't make any sense.
