1.03 The Harvest Brawl (Tutorial) bug?

Hello everyone.. I bought the game yesterday, and played for a little while as a drow. Then I patched it up to the latest version, and started a new charachter because drows level up too slowly. When I enter the harvest brawl competition, on the first brawlers, nothing happens after killing them. I get stuck inside the fenced area, and cannot talk to the red-wearing priest (or monk?) to complete the quest. That did not happen before patching. I also see the red block Ningengirai mentioned before (this one)
I like to get as much experience in the game as I can, so I don't want to play the game without it's tutorial. Any ideas about this? How can I fix that?

This sounds like yet another script that didn't fire correctly. If you haven't tried it already, I'd just suggest playing through the brawl again and see if it works correctly this time.

I tried it already, more then a few times. I even tried to reinstall the game

Ok how aobut this, reinstall (sory) and don't patch get past the tutorial like say where you and your 2 compainions are still in your bedroom and then patch it.
Or you could give your self the exp you would get in the tutorial, if you wish to skip it.

What video card and drivers are you using?
I intend to post again in Ningengirai's thread again, but I just patched to 1.03 and did the tutorial and didn't have either problem red block or broken Brawl, I am using an ATI card.

Good idea, I will try that tonight. Getting past the brawl would be probably enough because that's the only place I've seen a bug on the tutorial, but just to be sure I'll do as you say, play till the start of ACT 1 then patch up. It's kinda a big pain tho cuz patching takes like 2 hours for me, but it's better then getting stuck in game

I'm running the game on a laptop, 1.8 Ghz centrino processor, 1gb of memory and my graphic card is ATI Mobility Radeon X800 (256 MG I guess). All drivers aer official and up-to-date. The red block thingie is probably about something Ningengirai's and my graphic cards not supporting a technology used on that fence. I dunno. I had no other graphic/performance problems but that one after I patched to version 1.03 . Before patching, the FPS was lower tho.
