Right now I'm playing the demo for Neverwinter Nights, and if I ever like the game very much I have a few questions: What is the difference between Platinum and Diamond versions? And do the classes get to keep what they got in BG2 (like sorcerers don't need to memorize and monks get extreme power through their fists etc.....)? And is there a mod or anything for the interface to make it similar to BG2 interface? The new one seems a bit more inconvenient, or I can't find the spell button on it. Thanks for answering a noob's questions. :-)

I'm sure there's a good chance I'd like it as I loved Baldur's Gate II.

I don't know that this is necessarily the case, but if the price is right, you might as well find out. Anyway...

Platinum includes NWN plus the two expansion packs. Diamond includes everything from Platinum, plus the first three (and also the shortest) premium modules.

Baldur's Gate used the 2nd Edition D&D rules, while NWN used the 3rd Edition rules, but I don't think you'll have any problem recognizing the classes.
