Trying to kill the Dracolich(possible spoilers)

I have read the previous post and I was suprised not to see anyone having the problem that I am.

First I am a level 21 wizard. I go into the battle with a familiar, deekin and the ex red sister assassin. I have spell mantel, premonition, heavy stoneskin and mestil acid sheath executed going into the battle.

I am having two problems, if I don't get a time stop in before the dracolich moves forward everybody in the party gets frightened and its over before its starts.

If I do get the timestop in, i summon a dragon knight (an epic spell I gained at level 21) and I can run around to the secret door but it always doesn't show up right away if I get through and destroy the phlactery, the dracolich comes back and I either get frightened or paralyzed and can not do anything while I am in either of these states. Not heal my self, not cast spells, zippo.

At that stage, its all over but the crying. I have summoned the genie to see if he has anything that would protect me and I don't seem to find anything. He does have assassins garb with a high hide value and I could double up with the cloak of elvin kind but I don't know if that helps or not.

1.Is there any way to pop back out anywhere and if there is,
2 is there anything that protects you from frightened and paralyzation?
My chances are alot better if I can avoid either of these states. I am almost thinking about going on in the game until I find something and then come back because I have no chance now.

I don't seem to have alot of heal spells which is a suggestion from one of the previous posts but it seems deekin and the drow have them.
3.Is there anything that I can do to get them to attack the dracolich in that way

buy somewhere some helmet that gives you immunity to mind spells and pull on dragon slippers, bull yourself up with everything, bulls strenght, endurance, cat's grace, aid, bless, haste, ironguts, barksin, death armor, everything, then cast as many spells on yourself as you can, cast every resistance there is, cast spell, pause, cast spell, pause, and so on, quicksave and after 5-10 times you can kill that bastard, always keep near that rod of ressurection and few summoning spells, good luck

all good advice

definite spoilers if you want to find out how I finally defeated this thing. Simply highlight below.
I ended up replaying all the way back to chapter two and getting the helm of warding and getting my stuff back from when it was stolen at the beginning of chapter one. I had seen the chest which contained my stolen stuff but it had four large bones on the first screen and I didn't see that it was 1 of 19screens. I also took valen instead of the other chick that I took before and he stuck around alot longer and did more damage to the other things the dracolich summoned. It still took me a long time to kill the thing, but it was much better with the helm to try other things. I ended up shapeshifting to a red dragon after I blew up the phlactery. I remember one time I killed it and did not blow up the phylactery and the thing came back into another set of bones lying around, talk about having a, "that is not fair" moment.
