Now, I have just yesterday actually acquired NeverWinter Nights as a part of a christmas gift of games from a friend. I haven't played any D&D based games except for Baldurs Gate, which lacks prestige classes, so heres my question:

I've started out as a LE Wizard(Necromancer) and I had eventual plans to turn into a Pale Master at first oppurtunity. As I usually do, I went onto some sites, GameBanshee included and read up on the Pale Master. Heres my dillema:

I was planning to become a Pale Master As fast as possible, right after lvl 6. But when I went online, the guide that is on Game Banshee has you turning Pale after lvl 17. Now, I am not a D&D Master, so basically what I want to know is, what are the pros and cons of become a Pale Master immediatly, as opposed to waiting a good long while. Will I be missing out on something if I don't lvl Wizard? Or what? Explanations would be greatly appreciated.

Brief suggestion: you're LE, so I suggest some Monk levels to boost your chances of the touch o' death hitting your target. It'll work with your wizardly lack of armour too.
