how do i get in the door in telma's basement in the blacklake district. i already went through the bookcase.

what is the ironwood for?

Talk to the cute little girl just outside the her house - she will reveal the secret word. Then click on the bookcase and say the word.

Ironwood is used to upgrade some weapons and/or armor.

No, I dont think that's what he meant, he is already past the bookcase, but inside, past some skeletons, there is a sealed (unpickable) door next and a chest with the riddle (something like) "a splinter delivered in flight". I assume this is a riddle so I tried placing an arrow (obvious choice) into the chest, this didnt seem to do anything though.

Anyone got any better ideas?

You are supposed to place that Ceremonial Arrow that you got from the first dig site that Oleff (i think thats his name) told you to go to and then close the chest and it'll open the door for you.
