Unhappy Stuck at Door Puzzle, Under Mountain Lvl 2 Spoiler

I am completely stuck! I got all the chains attached to the pedestals....then I clicked on the pool (many, many times) ......I saw the 6 colors that showed.....then comes the problem. I clicked on the first color, which was red, and that one worked. But after that, nothing else would work. I know I am clicking on the right colors in the right order, but it keeps telling me nothing happened. PLEASE HELP! I am desperate and don't know what to do

Well - that sounds nasty for sure, and it does sound as a bug (is your game patched).

The color sequence is randomized, but I can't remember from what point. (if it is randomized when you load the area the first time or similar)
So I would personally try to reload from before you entered that area if you have one.

Otherwise - there exists a teleportation console command which should be able to teleport you to the area behind the door (it works by coordinates), although I have never used it myself, so I, personally, can't guide you through using that one.

How can I use the teleportation console command? I am about ready to pull my hair out trying to get thru these chains

Unfortunally - I have never used the command, so I can't tell you the excat method.

However - the syntax for the command is:

dm_jumptopoint
Quote:
Usage: dm_jumptopoint <x> <y> <area>
Where: x is a floating point value indicating the x-coordinate in the area you wish to jump to.
y is a floating point value indicating the y-coordinate in the area you wish to jump to.
area is the area tag of the area you wish to jump to.
Description: This function will send the player to the specified x,y coordinate in the area specified.
You likely have to check out in the toolset to find the right area code and coordinates.(or experiment with the coordinates once you know the area code from the toolset).

How do I check out in the toolset to find the right area code and coordinates? I have no clue how to get to the toolset

Well- the toolset is started from the main menu, and then you load up the area and can see what name/tag it has, which is the name I suspect used as the area parameter in the syntax.
But as I said - I've never had to use that command, so its excat workings I can't explain.

By the way - when you say "nothing" happens, dose that mean that a creature dosen't spawn? You should get a spawn when ever you pull a wrong chain.

Also - I didn't see the reply to this, but is your game patched?

I also belive the color sequence is randomzied, as I started earlier in this thread, so possible try checking the color sequence is still the same after each "nothing happens". If nothing happens message comes up, it seems as if the puzzle isn't activated, for instance haven't looked at the pool.

The way it's supposed to work should be something like this:
Look at the pool, pull a chain - if it is good you should hear a noice (bell I belive), if not a monster should spawn and you have to look at the pool again. If not - you will get possible get a "nothing happens" message.
If the sequence og 6 is pulled correctly - the door will open.

I seem to have a problem with this puzzle to. When i click on the pool it shows me green, red, purple and then it goes white. I dont see the 6 colors at all. And it does this EACH time It stops at the white color.

And it seems also to randomize the bell for the correct chain. Sometimes the green one rings, then i try the red one as was the sequence from the pool, but then it summons a red dragon wyrmling.

So, im kinda confused what i should do :S And yes, my game is patched

I don't recall there should be a white color but of course - I might rememeber wrong, so that does infact sound strange.

But I do not think the sequence is re-randomized after each try, from what I remember when I looked in the toolset. So you should be able to crack it simply by trying (save->try->reload)

I also belive that two identical colors can come up after each other, which could count for some confusion as well.

But basically - for your problem, I have little other advice then trying to crack it by save->try->reload method.

Sometimes it shows the same color multiple times in a row, Watch them and you will see that it flashes lightly (Disapears and instantly returns with the same color) That means it is the same color two times in a row. One time I got a combination of Green 4 times in a row, Then Yellow and then green again
