*Spoiler* Question about item creation in Ch2

Back in Chapter 1 we had the chance to upgrade some items in the Core district, at the local forge, combining some reagents with already existing weapons or armor. Even more, we were helped by a handy recipe book provided by the dwarven smith.

Now, in Chapter 2, it seems the same thing can be done, I just canīt figure out how.

I already turned in the five tomes (Life, Resonance, Death, etc...) to the woman by the shrine, and picked up the 5 notes (one per each tome) off one of the bookcases in her lab. Those notes say something about what effects are created by the combination of which reagents... But, this time thereīs no recipe book like in chapter one, and all the combinations I tried had no effect at all. Also, her butlerīs explanation ainīt of much help.

Does anyone know how to do this?
Thank you

next to the bookcase where you got the notes there should have been a chest you put the reagents in there and then cast the described spell on the chest then you open the chest and you should have the item. And there is no recipe book in chapter 2 those 5 tomes are the only thing you get in chapter 2.

Oh damn, so I guess that unless I find a way to make my fighter cast spells I got nothing to do here, right?

Thanks anyway for your reply

One of the items requires an Endure Elements spell. I looked through the manual, and I swear that spell doesn't exist...

I'm a fighter/rogue btw, but I can use scrolls. So I can still make the items, right?

endure elements is a low level spell, for both the arcane and the divine magicks, I think it's a first lvl spell, but for some reason the manual doesn't list it, but I know it's there. I'm playing a cleric and I have it, I played a sorceror before and had it so it's in the game just not in the manual.

Thumbs down Oh well...

I just hit Ch3... anxiously went to the smithy, to see what supposedly awesome equipment would the dwarf forge for me... you know, my character is Fighter 13/ Paladin 4 so thats level 17, and thought that all that inventory space devoted to reagents would finally pay off... well, I was wrong, the freaking dwarf offers the same recipes he did when my char was... level 4... disappointing, depressing and pathetic. But oh well, I guess it just happens...

Did you try giving him a +3 sword and a diamond? (Makes a +2 Astral Longsword) or any other high level items to make? (Depends on the quality of the item). For example, the rapier has a totally different effect with a higher quality blade.

Perhaps some help, where can I find The Tome of Fire and of Death? I know they are in Charwood, but where? Thanks.

Xandax is correct. Each book is in part of the Jharegs areas. I only wanted to add that the bookcases that the books are in are very prominent. They are highlighted with very large glows.
