*Spoiler* help please about multiplayer/singleplayer mixup *wierd*

Ok near the end of chapt. 1 I got the 4th regeant, talked to aribeth blah blah blah. After it was done unloading and loading the module for the ritual chamber, It loaded the character picking page that you get in MP or mods wit premade characters and you own. So I picked mine and when it came to the ritual chamber I was level 1 again without Tomi and with a longsword and leather armor. I was quite pissed because I had awesome awesome items and character, and was just rolling through the game. So....any help?

I did add 2 levels during the peninsula because I was having trouble with the bosses, using the DebugMode 1. And I hav'nt played MP or used mods before.

The "Character Selection" page appeared because the character you're playing is no longer a "Valid" character - because you've modified it using the Debug controls. The game performs character check everytime it moves to another module.

Is there any way to fix it?

Open My Computer (or Explorer) and go to the directory where you installed the game - defaul directory is C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN. Open the file nwnplayer.ini, look for Single Player Enforce Legal Characters=1, change the 1 to 0. Save the file and then load the save game closest to the game of the chapter, you will be able to continue with your character.

had the same problem but solved it a different way as follows, upon being someone that dosent leave well enough alone, i downloaded the patches and updates for the game, restarted and playing ever since, lucky for me however or i would have disected the game until i found the cure.
