[SoU] Focus Crystals (Spoiler)

Hi

I have gone a fair bit into the game, I just recovered the hand artifact and I rescued the Duergar's daughter from the giant, etc. However I failed to answer Drogan's familiar's riddles correctly and have run out of focus crystals. Am I going to have to do everything over from the point at which she asked me the riddles to gain access or is there a way to get access now?

Do you have access to Drogans room up on the first floor?
I can't remember if it is the familiar that gives access to that room or not.

If you have got access, then there is a tabel up there that will explain how to make more crystals.

If you haven't - well it is annoying and possible dangerous (it is good to be able to teleport out of trouble), but you don't really *need* crystals, you can play without them. They will also only work in chapter 1 by the way.

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it. One other question that just crossed my mind, is what would happen if I were to start a new game of SoU using an export of my character that already had many of the items, such as one of the artifacts, etc ... would it mess with the game?

I don't think it would really mess up the game, because if you export/import the character, the items will stay in inventory - although the game will not have registred you getting the plot-critical items, so the plotlines are still open. If it does mess up - it is poor programming of the game.

Of course, you could simply drop any plot items before exporting your character - such as the mummy hand - just to be on the safe side.
