Room of CLOAK OF ASCELHORN

In the SoU Adventure.
Hey guys, I figured out the way to get to the pedestal but what happens after that? Why dos the marble floor zap me each time I try to walk over it now that the puzzle has been solved? Can somebody please help me? I am traped like a mouse in the middle of the room (near the pedestal) and I can't reach the door. I am going crazy trying to figure this out and there is nothing on the net about it either!!!

Thanks guys!

Walking over the chess board pattern on the floor sets off the trap. Try finding the points where you walk over the least chess board so you are not so injured.

The chessboard pattern doesn't extend completely to each edge of the platform, so it can be avoided by wallking that way.

Hope that helps...

Oh, you should probably have added 'Spoiler' to your post title too.

Thanks but I tried that and each time I got zapped I got tossed back to the pedestal... That means that even if I have the hit points to cross over and not die, I can't because the zapping takes me back to step one.

Thanks!

You shouldn't be zapped back if you go to the nearest edges. I think the edges with the trees down the sides. So don't go directly to the room entrance, just to the sides and follow them to the room entrance.

Remember the marked squares? When you go in they're the only safe ones. But when you grab the cloak it all becomes reversed. The previously safe ones zap you back.
