Romances (minor spoiler)

Hello everyone. Everyone knows that the love interest in the game for the male characters is aribeth, but is she really the only person we can have a relationship with? And what about the female characters? Who will they be trying to get? I doubt aribeth swings both ways...so if she's the only npc in the game who we can have a romance with isn't that discrimination?

The female characters get to have a relationship with Aarin Gend.

Supposedly, you can have a romance with Arin Geld (sp?) the spy for Lord Dresher. I play a female paladin, but I haven't seen any dialogue that would lead to romance...... (I'm at the end of Ch. 2).

If you haven't entered Luskan yet then it is not too late. If you have then it is. You just have to talk to him about him. Ask him how he became a spy and stuff like that. He will go through his little story and all.

At one point the klutz Linu said she liked me, to which i replied it wasn't mutual (hey, i already had aribeth's ring :P). She got all embarrased (to say the least), but said nothing of it in later conversations.

I've heard someone mention Sharwyn ... not sure if they were joking or serious, though.

I "romanced" Linu. Basically, you can occasionally say nice flirty things to her. After finishing her Chap 3 quest she will give you a lead and if you respond correctly she will say something to the effect that she's glad you feel the same and maybe the two of you can pursue this relationship deeper after this is all over with. That's pretty much it. Before the final battle she actually initiated conversation, but it sounded pretty generic, as though you'd get the same thing whether she romanced you or not. The romance with Linu didn't affect my romance with Aribeth, and Linu didn't say a word while Aribeth was standing there telling my character how much he had come to mean to her, blah, blah, blah. No spirit, that girl! Viconia, on the other hand...

I tried the same thing with Sharwyn before Linu, and she basically ended up saying she was so sorry, but I wasn't her type. May have been because my character was a monk (lawful good). Any rogues have any better luck?

I played it through as a female fighter and led Aarin on right until the end. Poor fool... hehe serves him right.

@Nygma. Yeah, had very much luck with Sharwyn.

In Cp2, I was nice to her, and mentioned her that I would not treat her like her former lover, Dannen, did. In Cp3 when I found the song she looked for and she thanked me, telling that hopefully her friendship is enough, I replied that I had hoped more. She said yes, and voilá, there we go. I played monk/rogue/sorcerer combo, so I don´t know what really influences her decision, but it is possible to have relationship her.
