Nobody has any date on the release.
All dates are purly speculations.

Mostly correct. Bioware´s estimate is "the winter of 2001"; that is within 6 months. This is only an estimate (!!) but at least it´s official and they haven´t changed it as far as I know, hmm?

And thus, speculation.
The estimate of a winter release has been the "official" word since about spring 2001(if not sooner).
And the fact that they haven't given a new "estimate" to me simply tells me that they don't know yet (or are going to surprise us all with one heck of a christmas gift )- I personally don't think we will see this game before spring 2002.

I think the official word as to the exact release date is *cough*mumble*ahem*grumble*mumble.

Nobody knows yet. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Hopefully.

@Rail are you sure about that, wouldn't you prefer a non-bugged game not needing 1 patch. I would take an extra 3 or 4 months for non-buggy code.

Mr. Sleep, now you´re being silly! Like the rest of us, Rail just means he would like to see the finished BUGFREE game sooner rather than later.

Whenever anyone of you read a post like Rail´s just think of it like this and we won´t have all those smartmouthed( ) replies.

Cheers!

There is no release date for Neverwinter Nights. When we have a release date, this post will change with the addition of the release date.

The release dates that you see at retail sites are their best guess as to when the game will ship. Sorry, but it is just that; a guess.

That being said, things are progressing quite smoothly on the game and we are still on track for a release this winter season.

This was taken from the new Bioware NwN official forum, posted by an assistant producer - the date: 18.10.01. (yesteday)
Let's hope his predictions hold true - about the winter season.

Just wanted to keep you guys updated

Thanks for the update Xandax, some reatailers are estimating 02/02 for shipping date but I usually wait for what Bioware has to say

Well seeing as they are in Canada - it could be all year , but I'd suspect until March.
