I didn't like hearing the news anymore than you, but don't say it didn't happen.

I've read the official announcment they made regarding NWN at E3 at a couple different places. Don't have a link for ya, but with a little hunting you could find it.

As for the Interplay site, well they are a little slow at updating arn't they? Especially with future releases... give it time.

about that march 2000 release date. i heard and read the same thing somewhere. i can't find the links and stuff for it(was a while ago), but i believe they said it was pushed back to 2002. i THINK there was some news posted on gamespot, but can't be sure. i just check avault and found nwn on the 2002 release date. however, i can't find the article about the date being changed still. here is the link for the scheduled release date though.
http://www.avault.com/previews/

scroll ALL the way down of the webpage and you'll see the 2002 releases.

I can't wait! NWN is going to kick some ass! Best RPG ever (except for the BG-saga)!

Interplay's website says spring 2002. I read somewhere though that some people who claim to have inside information believe it will be released earlier.

I would expect them to release it before Christmas, sometime in november.

Taken from the Neverwinter Nights board:

There is NO official release date for NWN. Any date you see ANYWHERE unless it has been posted by BIOWARE is only speculation. Retailers and Publishers have Marketing departments that have to set up advertising budgets months in advance. Therefore they have to use some type of target dates for future titles...................

The last response I saw on the official boards was that they were trying for Christmas, but they also want to make sure the game is totally polished, so it could slip into next year.

I would be one heck of a christmas gift to all of us
But we'll just need to embrace us with patience and maybe meet in BG2 MP to practice a bit
I for one need to pratice a pure class mage(never played that before) with other players out of my control.

Does anyone want to play multi then? I don't want to go through the whole process of Irenicus dungeoun so if anyone has a save in the city we could mod our characters fairly and play.
