| | Question about playing modes Hello,
How exactly will NWN handle the single/multiplayer modes? I mean: will I be able to play single player, and occasionally try to play online?
I will not have much time to spend in multiplayer (courses to attend,...), so I will not be able to commit to a "fixed" group. If NWN presents a world where you can travel freely and join with people you meet, even for a few hours, it would be really great.
Thanks,
Geert

| | NwN will feature both single and multiplayer possibilities.
Multiplayer mode will be both module based and persitant world based.
Modules-play would be able to be played both with friends or strangers and be adventures varrying in lenght.
Persitant worlds will allow you to play NwN kinda like a MMORPG.
So there should be plenty of oppertunities to find someway of working it into your "schedule".

| | I'm not familiar with MMORPG, as I've never played online before. But I assume it's like a "real" world: you just wander around whenever you want, and see what's out there, meeting other PC eventually.
What kind of world will Argyle be like? (it sounds really cool!) And will I be able to use the same character to play through a (downloaded) module, or do I need seperate characters?
Thanks again,
Geert

| | Argyle is aiming to become a persistant (24-7) world.
And no - you wouldn't be able to use the same character for Argyle and other modes of play, since Argyle will use it's own charactervault to keep cheating to a minimum. |

| | AH, so you login and your character is saved on a server then? much like a MUD? Thats a good idea, but a big thing to make real

| | NwN is designed for "charactervaults".
There will be an official vault and AFAIK anybody making modules(or worlds) should be eased at makeing their own vault. |

Argyle also uses 28 points instead of 25 (the expected 3rd edition points officially of NwN.)
