Old quicksave

Hey people...
I had to format my C:\ recently so it was necessary to even delete the Neverwinter Nights... But I wanted to keep my saved games so I can continue playing from where I left the game, once i reinstall Windows. So I copied the content of the saves folder, and once the Win reinstallation was done, I installed NWN and did a paste of those saved games. The problem is, when I entered the game, I could see all the saved games except the quicksave, and that one is the most important because I quicksaved most of the time, and most of the progress was marked with quicksave... Now, how can I make the game recognise my quicksave from before?

Check your saves folder to make sure there's a quicksave there.

You can try copying all your savegames in first and then patching your game. There could be a version conflict atm.

Yup, there's a quicksave there for sure...
I don't know how there can be a version conflict, I've installed the exact same version, without any additional patches, only Shadows of Undrentide expansion as was the previous version...

I see. Very well.

I'd recommend running the autopatcher as soon as this is resolved, or you give up on trying.

What I'm going to ask you to try now is a longshot, but who knows.

Your saves should be labelled like this in your directory:
000000001-Quick-Save
000000002-Auto-Save
000000003-AvatarOfLight
etc

Your quicksave's number may have been taken by a new autosave for instance. Make a backup and manually remove whatever save shares the number.

If this doesn't work either feel free to send me your quicksave through MSN or E-mail. I'll try to resave it as a normal save. I have NWN and SOU installed, not HOTU. But you will have to patch your game to make this work.

Hey man, I got it working somehow...
It seems that either I had one saved game in the same position in the game, or they somehow got scrambled, anyway, I think I can continue where I left the game, everything seems to be in place... One thing showed me that, and that is a screen capture of both saves (thank BioWare for that! ), in which it is obvious that my character is in the same spot in both saves...
Thank you very much for your efforts, you're great dude...
