NWN:Qn on lvling

I'm currently playing as a Human mage(lvl 14) with the following stats

Str:8
Dex:8
Con:14
Wis:16
Int21
Chr:8

Juz got enough XP to lvl up but cant seem to lvl up as a mage anymore(lvling to other class yes but not as a mage). My question, What kinda lvling changes are there as compared to say Baldur's Gate. Is it possible to get a lvl 20 mage???

Sounds like a bug.
Is your game patched fully?
