NWN: Mysterious Lights (Spoilers)

In Chapter three, outside the Creator Ruins, theres the three altars, and the mysterious lights.
I know what you do with the altars, but do you do with the lights? I've played through about 4 times now, and nt figured anything out.
Please note, I'm not talking about the light puzzle inside the ruins.

You mean the lights outside in the open air area with the unlimited summons? I think the lights are simply to make the place look very magically charged and also to look pretty. No other special thing you can do.

Walking into those lights cast spells on you. Some are good and some are bad. They aren't really necessary, but they might be helpful to some.
