NWN: Can I use 1.66 saved game with 1.69?

Topic says it all. I played for a while with version 1.66 of NWN (main campaign, diamond edition) then realized I wasn't playing the newest version. The built-in updater didn't work so I took the game's advice and downloaded the critical rebuild manually, and updated to version 1.69.

I loaded up my most recent saved game (from 1.66) and amazingly everything seemed to work perfectly, the new textures were there, and all. But I'm wondering if eventually this "old" save game will become corrupted..?

Anyone? Please help, because I don't want to go through half the game and find that it stops working. Can't afford the wasted time in this day and age, I'm too busy for that!
