Question not enough air???low spoiler??

it's my first time to post a thread and mostly what i do is just read around so I dont add to the clutter but i've found something while playing the original neverwinternights without any other expansions. i'm on chapter 2 and from port last I went south and exited from there then in the map around the south or north west region of the map is a cave full of memphits and imps. water imps specifically and i found a well that gives me an option if i want to dive in. i say yes but i cant reach the other end because i run out breath. i tried drinking potions of endurances so i go at it but nope,it doesnt work. what do i do? i've tried reading a lot of walkthrough's out there but not one of them mentions this cave. what do i need to do?

You need a certain amount of constitution to be able to hold your breath I belive, and using potions, items or spells (or cheating) is about the only way I remember getting through the cave system.

I can't remember if potion effects stack, so you can drink more then one - otherwise, you might want to try and pick up some items that enhance your constitution statistics.

There might be a different route/way, but I only know this one.

It's a totally separate miniquest. A place where a -really- forgotten warrior rests. Afair, you have to make a fortitude save to pass through the well. So i your constitution is too low, you have no chance...

Smile thanks!!!

hey! thanks. that did it. my constitution was 10 flat then i wore my boots of striding +5 then drank a potion of endurance that bumped me up to 17 and i reached the other end. I thought there was a big fight coming along but found only a very vain and egotistical numbSKULL (pun, intended). a watchman's helm and some gold. not too hot, since i found the golden circlet (which by the way doesnt look like a circlet) i wont be wearing it off, EVER.

Ah, the golden circlet... well, my grief with that one was that it looked not all too good.

During the end of the main campaign, my chara wore a custom-tailored white-silvery eldritch plate with a fitting ornate helmet. Damn, that looked more dashing than anything else - not to mention the dual sonic-styled Katanas... but yeah, I really digress.
