| | | never tombs + studed leather question In the never tomb in the noble district (blacklake)
there are 4 swords that attack you, how the heck can you beat these things???
I'm a lvl 5 ranger (longbow+1)
Also is there a fixed location for a studed leather +1 armor in chapter 1?

| | | I had trouble with them as well, but I did beat them this way: your henchman will charge them right away, when he does move behind the large staircase/stage thingie. Then, move from behind it just enough to get the attention of one of the swords, which willl then chase you. Fight it behind the staircase, and beat them one at a time. It was the only way I could do it.

| | | The only place I can think of for studded leather armour is the store in the docks district. Can't remember how much it costs though. Otherwise you can try the reloading trick on the chests.
The big square chests always have magic items in. Save before opening them, then reload if you get an item you don't want.
As for the Swords of Never...as a halfling fighter/rogue I sneaked in and hid behind the stairs then drew them out one at a time by shooting them. Their quite managable if you fight them individually. |

| | | With the Swords of Never, my PC was a Paladin, and I had Tomi the rogue as henchman. I went in, tanked up with so many buffs my bar was all the way across and rushed them. I took out two before Tomi died, and I had finished off a third when I retreated and used the Stone. I healed, got Tomi back, and returned to finish them off. Really, really, really hard encounter, that I thought Bioware did well. In fact, I thought that entire quest was very good.

| | | I'm playing a paladin as well. It really sucks that you almost HAVE to take Tomi with you, unless you like blowing traps up in your face, lol.

| | | Traps aren't the problem,
but bashing EVERY chest and door that's locked.

| | Being the wussy rogue that I am, I ran right past the swords, grabbed the stuff from the chest (fortunately, there was no locks or traps on the chest, which might be intentional) and recalled . You would think, being by far the hardest part of the quest, you would get better treasures than the +1 sword and whatever Oleff and Giles pays you, oh well. |
