| If I recall correctly, there were three modules in the post-HotU competition. I can't recall their names for certain, but here's what I remember:
1) The winner of the competition - I think it was called "The Sands of Heliopolis, Part I" - that was a very very well done module. Seriously. I thought it was almost as high quality as, say, SoU, and definetly better than either of the two winning "interlude" modules that came between SoU and HotU (which weren't bad, I'm just saying I thought this one was better). You could choose to play it with or without your equipment. I didn't encounter any serious bugs to speak of and it had a very cool feel and roleplay atmosphere to it as well as being reasonably challenging. I very much look forward to the sequel. Highly recommended for a post-HotU character.
2) One of the other mods was evil characters only (I think it was called "The Gods Themselves") so I never bothered taking my sorc/paladin/rdd through it.
3) The third mod had some nifty gimmicks in it (like the Boots of Springing and Striding and the Magic Carpets) along with some fairly neat puzzles that took advantage of those gimmicks, but otherwise the mod was very unbalanced and just plain cheesy. Some of the items are just -way- overpowered and if that weren't enough for you, there's a smith about halfway through that for some gold lets you put virtually any special ability on any item you want. For example, for a not-terribly-expensive amount of gold I made myself a ring that gave me +12 to all six stats as well as AC +10, etc. etc. etc. and anything else you want to put on it or any other item. The ending of the mod was also very unsatisfying. It might be worth playing through it once, only so you can create the cheesiest character ever and then delete it all for the cheese-fest that it is.
