Missing armor/graphics problem?

Just installed HotU after finishing SoU. First thing I noticed was a choppy intro during the "dream sequence". This was a first for me with NWN.

Next, I continue the dream sequence and notice that many of the drow are missing their torso's. I know if one of the online gaming areas that this was a problem with new hak packs but seemed to be easily fixed.

I get to the start of the game, go and check for updates and update the game from the bioware site so I'm running the current version and most recent patch, plus updated my drivers. Sound appears better, but still have those annoying missing bodies.

Any tips to fix that?

Thanks,

I've only experienced this problem in multiplayer games, and not in single player. Do you have a lot of modifications for the game installed, it could be one of thoese (HAKs possible?) that interferes with your game?

A possibility to test this would be to see if you can make a "dual installation" so to speak, where you have two version of NwN installed on your computer (if you can spare the storage space), and use one for multiplayer and one for single player. This could be a way to test if it is NwN or some addition that is the problem.

Other then multiplayer modifications, I have no real suggestions as to cause of the problem.

Actually I haven't played multiplayer in sometime and those haks are gone. I just finished about two weeks of SoU with no problems, just appearing when I installed HotU for the first time this weekend.

If you haven't (and/or aren't) playing multiplayer currently - try to uninstall (and manual delete left-over files), and reinstall the game to see if the problem persists.

Otherwise - I haven't really got any ideas to help.
