| | Meta gaming is when you use knowlegde you as a player have that your character wouldn't have.
So sending letters between character would per se not be metagaming, if these character would know each other - ei. friends, family etc. BUT......
in Argyle your character must NOT know each other.
So your first and second character must not have any communication amongst them - they must not belong to the same guild (at least not at the same time, don't know if it is looked good upon otherwise though.) and you must most certainly not use one character to rescue the other charcter if he has died and you must not use transfer equiptment from one character to another in any way.
The rules are clear in Argyle on this, and if found out that your characters interact with each other - you'd most likely suffer severe penalties. (maybe even ban?)
Something also to be wary of is that you don't take information that your character #1 has gotten ingame/outgame - and pass on, as a player to your second character.
Ei. if your character #1 has information of a treasure laying around, your character#2 can't go get it, unless he - ingame - also has learnt this information.
So generally speaking:
You're characters must have absolutly nothing to do with each other.
And you as a player must make sure to differ between information that you(player) know and your characters know. |

| | Best way to do this, is to keep them on opposite sides of Argyle.

| | that was my point...instead of having a second character in argyle, why not just adventure in another world with the second character...seems as if there are too many restrictions/problems with playing two characters in the same world.

| | Will if somebody thinks they might have difficulty in not "meta-gaming" well that would certainly be an answer.
