Upon installation of the expansion pack, notes taken in SOU were lost. Is this a glitch or is that in the "override.bak" file that was created during the install?

Also, any ideas on how to get credit for a quest that has been completed? Are any quests class specific?

i have no idea... i installed SOU and HOU at different times when i have a character in a running OC game, and noticed nothing like that happening.

not sure what u mean. credit asn in gold? xp? u not always have money as a payment, depending on the character that gives u the quest, though sometimes this is replaced by (magical) items, and will almost always have the latter. or in story wise, where they would mention ur name? in that case, i believe only story related quest (and one well planned quest that i can recall right now) will give that impression.

Are any quests class specific?

yes, there are a few class specific quest. but i will not reveal them unless requested.

Shift244.....I have completed the ZOO quest but don't receive payment or xp. If this is a class specific quest then should I have been asked to complete it? Other areas in the game deny you access if you aren't a class specific, ie all the locked doors in the different quarters. Any info you can provide for this specific quest would be helpful. TIA

Most class specific quests can be taken by other other classes, usually by persuading the quest giver.

It dosen't mean you will not get XP or reward - I've always gotten rewards for such quests.

I've gone back to my journal and the quest is still present as needing to be accomplished. I've gone back to the zoo to check if I missed any animals. No animals, they are not at the vortex as they have already gone through. They are not at the other end of the vortex, so I gather that they went in but did not come out pn the other side. The bottom line is that I can't get the quest to complete. I thought being a Ranger might affect the outcome but I received the quest, used the scroll, put the animals through the vortex, reported back to no avail. I'm looking for what I did wrong or how to complete this quest before ending this chapter. Thanks for any suggestions and/or help.

Dosen't look to me as you did something wrong, so you might have been hit by a bug of sorts.

The only possible thing I can think of is that you only led the animals to the vortex and perhaps didn't tell them to go through - you need to speak to them twice, but since the animals aren't located at the vortex (they are not in the cages either, right ) - that is kind of unlikely.

I am sorry to say - but I do think you have been bugged somehow in that quest.

Yes to all I spoke to the animals to follow and to enter the vortex. running HOTU with updates. I concur, my big disappointment is really the loss of all the notes I took and place in the journal. Thanks for your help. I'm just going to start over and hope for the best.
