lone baalor lord in war zone (possible spoilers)

I have read the walkthrough and the threads but no one seems to have the same problem I am having. None of my weapons have "any effect" and I am getting slaughtered. I have tried all of my weapons and none of them do anything. Only my sidekick can inflict damage. This was true with the baalors in the wizards' chantries as well. Am I missing something?

Tell us the properties and type of your weapons, please. Are you familiar with the game-concept of "damage reduction"? Perhaps the weapons you are using just aren't powerful enough to bypass the Balor Lord's damage reduction and you can't hit hard enough to overwhelm it. Check the enhancement bonuses on your weapons and then compare them to your henchman's. Also, have a weapon that deals non-physical damage as a bonus while avoiding the lightning type. Demons such as Balors are immune to lightning.

When you get that message it means that your bonus on the weapon is not large enough (e.g. you properly need +5 or higher bonus).

Also weapons enchanted with acid damage usually are nice against devils and demons.
