I found the chalice but can't remember where, though Linu did not seem to want to talk about it. Now, a while later it seems to have disappeared from my inventory. Has it been stolen by someone I didn't notice? Or does anybody have any ideas. Do I have to go back and replay lots of tough fights?

Hmmm, did you check the Divining Pool in the temple for it...?
It's a quest item, so if you lost it, chances are good it will be in there.

It might be that you have lost it if you are in another chapter
