How to kill battle devourers?

Uh, I am having a big problem even injuring these suckers. Any way to beat these things in melee combat?

The best way is to equip something with elemental damage. like the Monks class specific gloves. they are low on hp because they absorb so much damage so try elemental damage and bring those suckers down

Using knockdown if you have it and/or Powerattacks also seems to do quite well for me.

Nah, I'm a high Dex dual-wielding, parry-dodge ranger/rogue type.

I've got the gladiator blade (acid) and the dagger that does ice damage, but I can barely scratch it.

I decided to run away from it anyway.

Hmmm I never really had much trouble with them myself. As a pure ranger with a +3 katana and the Rapier +2 that does 1d6 fire damage to evil those things never stood a chance.

Send a message via AIM to DaleWind
Get your char to attack it, make sure you do at least 1 damage, then go watch a movie

Edit: Oh yeah, they are immune to all elemental damages as well
