How many copies do I need?

Well, since some of you guys have already a copy and possibly played some multiplayer modules, I though I might just as well ask: we wanna play the game multiplayer, both me and my brother (we are by the way sharing an internet connection). Could we manage to do this with only one copy of the game or do I need two licenses???

Damn... this gets quite expensive taking into account that I'll have to update my video card as well... anyway, that's another matter.
