HotU: quest of the sleeping man (Spoiler)

seems that i am stuck. i played with the help of the walkthrough, but missed that i can get the answer for the second question from this dog-like thingie in front of the cavern. i solved its quest but didnt ask for the question.
now it seems to be vanished,
any idea how i can get the answer for the second question now? searched the whole territory but didnt find the dog-like creature...

Don't think you can answer the questions now then.

I don't know if it is possible to kill the temple woman and then gain access to the sleeping man that way.
