HOTU- Henchman Valen won't fight

My henchman Valen refuses to fight. Can anyody tell me why? Thank-you.

i know i might sound desperate, well its because i am. Why wont Valen fight? He will run into battle but being tree hugger (for lack of a better term) he will act prepared but he just stands there like a snob. lol. But seriously, why won't Valen help me?

Its because the AI in the game is pretty useless and henchman do that sometimes, or just run into battle even if you tell them not to attack til you do so.

All you can do is check your game is fully patched using the update button and if he still doesn't, try telling him to leave you then ask him to join again. If that still does not work then you'll just have to put up with it. Sorry but there's not really anything else I can suggest.

I tried everthing but Valen still just stands there. At least he makes a good target. Thanks for your help.

It seems i fixed the problem. I don't know if what i did actually fixed Valen or not but he is fighting again. I was having trouble seeing my henchmen(they tend to run into each other) so i set Valen to a medium distance from me. From that moment on he has been working fine.
