HOTU Ch3: Can't Pull Lever behind crates

I recently started playing HOTU, and it's great, but I am stuck. In Chapter 3, right after the big fight with the 5 enemies (Maugrim is one of them), you need to pull the lever behind the crates. To get there, you must shift into a pixie and fly through the hole. Then, you are suppose to turn into regular forum and pull the lever, then leave.

But I have encountered a problem. When I get behind the boxes and shift into normal form, I try to pull the lever, but it says that I can't pull it in my current form. I've consulted several walkthroughs but nothing helps. I'm sure I'm doing it right, but it's just not working.

Does anyone know what the problem is here? Thanks for any help.

Have you tried to sleep and transform again in normal form?

You should have another form beside pixie and normal - Earth elemental - shift to it and you shouldn't have problem pulling the lever.

I haven't tried sleeping first, but I have save/restored in normal form and it give the same problem.

When I shift to Earth Elemental, it seems I am too big; the program moves me outside of the boxes, so I'm back where I started...

I'm really bummed, I'm so close to the end of the game!

I just tried it in Elemental form, I got it so it wouldn't teleport me out, and still no luck. Is this some kind of bug in the game?

Oh well, I just said screw it and used a teleportation cheat to get into the next room. Darn bugs...

I also think I found another bug. A ways later, there's this Guardian Slaad creature who you must kill, and after he dies a teleportation circle appears. But it appears right ON his body and I can't select it to go through! I can only select his body. Am I doing something wrong here?

That happened also to me. Simple to resolve: loot his body (even the paper you actually don't need) and after a short time the slaad disappears.

Thanks, all done with HOTU now.

But has anyone experienced my first "bug", in which I couldn't pull the lever, no matter what? I had to cheat to get around it...
