Henchmen dont wanna work

Hi im now at chapter...3 at the beorunnas pit, i play with Tommy and i was going to change him for the half orc, but the guy says he is working for another guy... and im playing in my pc alone, not on inet, the bard, and the gnome says the same think they dont want to work, its this a bug or what?

Usually henchmen say that if you haven't kept whatever they gave you when you hired them - Daelan's Feather, Linu's token, Sharwyn's and Tomi's contracts, Boddyknock's and Grimgnaw's gems. They will also come if you have the item they gave you when (if) you completed their quests, eg Amulet of the Red Tiger Tribe, Amulet of the Elf, Ring of the Rogue, etc. If you've lost both (or not got one) for a character I don't know exactly what you would do - have you stored them somewhere? Lost quest items reappear in the pool in the Temple of Tyr, but I don't know exactly whether they classify as quest items - have a look there if you don't know where you've put the items. They should appear in the Divine Pool at the temple of Tyr if I recall correctly.

I have three henchmen who all tell me that they are with someone else right now. I have not completed two of their quests, while I have completed the third and have both items that he gave me. One thing I have found is that I can go back to talk to the fourth henchman I hired, who I dismissed by dialogue, telling her I would be better off on my own. The other three were dismissed by right-clicking on them, then clicking the white star icon in the upper left and then selecting "separate from party." Is there some way to reconnect them so I can talk to them, will this effect stop when I move on to the next chapter, and am I just completely buggered? (is the only way to reverse this error to begin again...)

If you bothred to read the replies (the first reply actually) in this thread before posting, you'd see that the problem arise when you no long carry the special items the henchmen gives you to symbolize that they work for you.

I am being honest...I did read the post, and I am carrying everything those henchmen gave me. The contracts, the gems, the flower, all of it. Those three henchmen will not talk to me, but the other three are fine, and they will talk to me. I can't be the only one this has ever happened to, can I?
